57th King Family Reunion Letter

King Family Members,

We the Family of Spurgeon and Levator King are eagerly awaiting your arrival. We are planning an exciting weekend for you at Maumee Bay State Park. It is a resort where we will have lots of fun activities and great food for you to enjoy.  We hope you and all your family will be able to attend. 

We will start on Friday July 24th with check-in at 4:00 p.m. at the Maumee Bay Lodge and Conference Center. The second night charge is due at this time. The meet and greet will take place at the Reunion Cabin which is steps away behind the Lodge and Conference Center. The meet and greet will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. There will be delicious food and multiple activities for every age. (Click here for the Maumee Bay Lodge Website.)

On Saturday, July 25th, breakfast will be served at the Reunion Cabin from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament will take place on the basketball court from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The Pickle Ball Tournament will take place on the pickle ball court from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Click Here for Tournament Signups.)

The resort we will be staying at is the Maumee Bay Lodge and Conference Center. Please put in your GPS the following address: 1750 State Park Road 2, Oregon, Ohio 43616. The cost for 1 Room with 2 Queen beds with a lake or pond view is $196.00 per night which is $232.31 per night with taxes and fees. If you think you will need a rollaway bed, please reserve at time of booking.

The second night is due upon arrival at check-in. Check-in time for the Lodge is 4:00 p.m. and check out time is 11:00 a.m.

For overnight Lodge and Cabin guests only, there is indoor and outdoor pools; hot tub; children’s splash pad, etc. See enclosed brochure for all activities. The Hollywood Casino is located nearby. Transportation will be provided.

The banquet on Saturday night will be at the Lodge in the Grand Ballroom from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The attire will be casual with the Pan-African colors of red, black, and green in any combination of the colors and/or African Attire. Besides music and dancing, we will have a talent show. (Click here to register.) After the banquet, there will be activities at the Reunion Cabin from 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. The Sunday morning Breakfast will also be in the Grand Ballroom from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The reunion fee will be $100.00 per adult and $50.00 for children 12 and under. Children 2 and under are free.
